The tour guide was excellent! He is not only a local but seemed to be a historian with deep knowledge of the remarkable history of Toledo (and its 2000+ years). We got to see not only the usual tourist sites like the cathedral but also quieter corners in the Jewish quarter. Highly recommend! This was a highlight of all our Spain adventures.
Samuel was a terrific historian that dives into the Jewish expulsion during the many centuries of persecution, especially in the 15th century. He is extremely knowledgeable about the historical perspectives of Toledo, the monarchies, and the conquerors. There were a couple of times he was recognized by local folks, and although young in age, he has a strong wisdom and love of this city. If you are interested in architecture, religion, and history of toledo, Samuel is your man.
